The press officer of Ukraine’s border control service said in briefing Wednesday that about 870,000 Ukrainian citizens have returned to the country since the beginning of Russian invasion.

He noted that in the first days of the war, about 10 thousand Ukrainians retuned home, mostly men.

After the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to stop the invading troops in most directions, and the situation in many areas became stable, the refugees, including children, women and the elderly, began to return to Ukraine.

As for now, about 25-30 thousand Ukrainians come back home every day. They think the situation in western regions is safe enough and do not want to stay abroad anymore.
