As Covid situation unraveling, health officials can declare ‘red zone’ restrictions in Zhytomyr, Luhansk, Lviv, and Kharkiv regions in 2-3 weeks.

Ihor Kuzin said that as of September 24 Covid data showed nine regions were itching closer to ‘orange’ zone.

With occupancy of 34% hospital beds, 31% oxygen beds, and 13% ventilator beds, the pandemic situation is under control, argued the chief sanitary doctor,  stressing that  95% of patients in hospitals are unvaccinated.

 

On September 24, Ukraine moved to ‘yellow zone’ code bringing in restrictions for public events  and limiting occupancy rates at gyms, cinemas and other venues.

The Ukrainian prime minister Denys Shmygal said businesses will operate if 80% of their stuff and clients are vaccinated.
