After Russian war crimes in Bucha became known to the international community, the invaders received orders to eradicate evidence that can prove killings of civilians and other illegal actions.

The Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine’s defense ministry has detected 13 mobile crematoriums in Mariupol. They are used to get rid of the dead bodies of civilian population who were killed by Russian troops.

The occupiers are also trying to identify Ukrainians who were witnesses of war crimes among the relocated people in ‘filtration’ camps.

Ukrainian intelligence also detected mobile crematoriums in Chernihiv and Luhansk regions. Another goal of using them is to hide the real number of casualties in the Russian army.

‘The actions of the Russian army fall under the definition of ‘genocide’ in accordance with the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide and Article 6 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. The Russian leadership will continue to try to hide the facts of war crimes in Ukraine’, the intelligence statement says.
